About us
Empowered Independence (EI) is a 501 c(3) non-profit, founded in 2023, focusing on empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disorders to achieve self-sufficiency. We assist with person-centered planning to identify the individual’s need, supporting their decisions and preferences, and ensuring their rights are guaranteed. As a supported employment service provider, we believe in the importance of accountability and ensuring our services meet our client’s needs. We seek to help participants integrate into the community and acquire a skill set that is needed for the workforce and the responsibilities of life.

Nakeisha Robinson
Secretary
Nakeisha is an integral part of our team at Empowered Independence Incorporated, serving as our Secretary. With her exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, she ensures that our administrative tasks are handled efficiently. Nakeisha is highly proficient in managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and maintaining important documentation. She is always approachable, friendly, and professional, creating a welcoming and organized environment for both our team and clients.
Adiana Donadelle
Treasurer
Adiana Donadelle plays the key role of Treasurer. With her expertise in financial management and meticulous attention to detail, she ensures that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and the organization’s financial well-being is maintained. Adiana’s proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis helps drive informed decision-making and supports the business’s sustainable success as a non-profit.
Program Purpose
The purpose of EI is to increase awareness of a driven population of individuals who are eager to join the workforce within their communities, integrate within the community, and have control over their own destiny. Our employment services include pre-employment training, job search training, employment workshops, and internship services. We believe in helping clients learn about their knowledge of self, their rights, effective communication, and leadership abilities. Our services concentrate on teaching clients to be attentive to their day-to-day feelings, how to make careful decisions about lifestyle choices, and how to responsibly manage work and daily activities.
Program Goals
EI’s goals are to increase each participant’s awareness of their independence by allowing participants to make their own decisions and supporting them in the process. We want to ensure that each participant is equipped to participate and engage in activities that are available within the community. EI provides ongoing support as clients integrate into the community to fulfill their work-related goals. Technical support is provided in formats that are appropriate for each client’s needs, such as learning material, communication links, and ensuring clients have access to additional resources as needed.
